Tantric Samaya and How to Listen to the Teachings

Two-Part Series (Tuesday, March 3 and 10 6:00 PM)

This two-part series will focus on the essential components of how to listen to and integrate teachings in the Vajrayāna with a secondary focus on the importance of Samaya on the path. Teachings on The Three Vows text from Jigdral Yeshe Dorje and Khenpo Ngawang Palzang’s Guide to the Words of my Perfect Teacher and Sera Khandro Dewé Dorjé’s writings on the topic will be offered. As a starting point, we will examine the various qualities a student must possess in order to get the most out of dharma teachings to then apply on the path. In conjunction with this, we will explore the topic of Samayā in the Vajrayāna as a lens for understanding the guardrails that allow the appropriate development of view, meditation, and conduct.
