Dechen Farrow first encountered Vajrayāna in 1989, when she met H.E. Lama Tharchin Rinpoche and moved to Pema Osel Ling in Santa Cruz, California, where she began receiving empowerments and teachings. She later moved with her family to upstate New York to deepen her practice under the guidance and blessings of H.H. Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, where she also had the rare blessing of supporting her children in receiving an extraordinary Dharma education at the White Lotus School under Rinpoche’s care.
As a longtime Western practitioner and healer, Dechen brings together decades of Vajrayāna practice with her experience in nervous-system regulation, somatic awareness, and embodied healing. Her work explores how the body itself can become a conscious participant in practice and the path of awakening.
She is honored to serve on the board of the Lhamen Foundation.
